Terms for using SpellScan, including unofficial-tool status, card data limitations, ads, purchases, and backups.

Use of SpellScan

SpellScan is an unofficial Android card-scanning and tabletop companion. Use it only where permitted by law and by any game, venue, platform, or event rules that apply to you.

Unofficial tool

SpellScan is not affiliated with, endorsed, sponsored, or specifically approved by Wizards of the Coast. Card names, artwork, game text, and related intellectual property belong to their respective owners. Card data and imagery are provided through Scryfall subject to Scryfall's terms and policies.

Recognition and card data

SpellScan can make mistakes. Recognition results, legality guidance, deck suggestions, price snapshots, and card details may be incomplete, delayed, or inaccurate. Confirm important decisions with official sources.

Ads, purchases, and support

SpellScan may display restrained banner advertising supplied by Google Mobile Ads. Remove Ads is an optional one-time Google Play purchase that removes banner ads. Voluntary external support links, if enabled, provide no feature, content, badge, recognition, priority, or other benefit.

Local data and backups

Collection, decks, settings, backups, and game state are the user's responsibility. Export backups before changing devices, clearing app storage, uninstalling, or testing release builds.
